Welcome to Keyworth Primary School

We want every child to leave Keyworth wanting and determined to make a difference to the world, and having the skills to do so. In order to do this, we believe that we have to enable the children to be emotionally intelligent, resilient and brave, so that they will stand up for what is right and be ambassadors of social justice.

International Day

On Friday 18th March Keyworth celebrated the incredible cultural diversity of our school community with International Day.

Children came to school in national dress and some classes started their school day with music and dancing. Throughout the day the year 6 committee did an incredible job organising lots of fun activities and the fun continued after school when parents and carers provided a fantastic array of food from around the world.

A massive thank you to: Christian, Gifty, Karima, Liandra, Lina, Robin, Samar and Seguerra who cooked large quantities of truly delicious food from all their different home countries for everyone to enjoy. Another massive thank you to everyone who contributed food, time and effort to make this such a successful event.

As part of the celebrations Mark taught the children a Bollywood style dance called ‘Jhoom’ and we got a change to listen to the Yr 5 and 6 African drumming which was all excellent.

We managed to raise an amazing £630 this will benefit the children so much!

Finally a massive thank you again to everyone who took part in celebrating our school community and giving the children such a great day to remember.
